Spider Control · Greenville, Spartanburg & Anderson

Spider control with a clean sweep on every visit.

Spiders follow their food, so homes with lots of insects around porch lights, shrubs and garages tend to have lots of webs. We treat the places spiders hide, cut back the insects they feed on, and knock down webs on your eaves, windows and entryways every time we come out.

Included in Lemon Standard and Lemon Premium, with de-webbing on every visit.

Quick answer

How do you keep spiders off the outside of your house?

Reduce the insects that spiders eat, remove webs and egg sacs regularly, and treat the cracks, eaves and entry points where spiders shelter. Swapping bright white porch bulbs for warm yellow ones also attracts fewer flying insects — and fewer spiders.

Signs you have a spider problem

  • Webs reappear on eaves, gutters and light fixtures within days of sweeping.
  • Spiders in the garage, basement, crawlspace or storage areas.
  • Egg sacs tucked into corners, window frames or under deck railings.
  • Lots of flying insects around outdoor lights at night — spider food.

Spiders you will meet in the Upstate

Common house spiders
Small, brownish spiders that build tangled webs in corners, garages and window frames.
Wolf spiders
Large, hairy hunters that run along the ground. Alarming to see, but they are mostly harmless to people.
Orb weavers
Builders of the big wheel-shaped webs across porches, doorways and shrubs in late summer and fall.
Southern black widows
Shiny black with a red hourglass. They hide in woodpiles, meter boxes, garages and crawlspaces — wear gloves when reaching into those spots.
Brown recluse look-alikes
Brown recluses are far less common in South Carolina than many people fear, and many suspects turn out to be harmless look-alikes. Text us a photo and we will help identify it.

What you can do to help

A few simple habits make a real difference — and they’re free.
  • Use warm yellow or LED bug bulbs in outdoor fixtures to attract fewer insects.
  • Store boxes in sealed plastic bins instead of cardboard in garages and basements.
  • Shake out shoes, gloves and stored clothing that has been sitting in the garage.
  • Keep firewood, brick piles and clutter away from the foundation.

FAQ

Spider Control questions

Will spiders disappear completely?

Our goal is to keep spiders and webs off your living spaces and the outside of your home. It is normal to see an occasional spider, especially in late summer when orb weavers are most active — and our free re-services cover any build-up between visits.

Do you remove webs?

Yes. De-webbing your eaves, windows, porch and entryways is part of every visit.

What should I do if I think I found a black widow?

Do not handle it. Keep kids and pets away, snap a photo from a distance if you can, and call or text us.
